This sunday was the big launch of Johan Primero in Amsterdam. The crowd was red&blue. The response was overwhelming. Great reactions. Even some tears. And a warm response from the daughter of Johan Neeskens. The big trend in Amsterdam: yellow sweatbands, just like Johan Primero......this thursday the official cinema-release in The Netherlands!

CINEMA ALEXANDRA EXPLODED 07/06/10

400 people witnessed last night the premiere of Johan Primero in Barcelona. Amongst them some old players, people from the club, the sport papers and of course our two heroes in this love story: Jose Luis Adserias and Aurora Cayero. Emotional moments after and lots of drinks in the murmuri bar, where art director Rikke Jelier jumped into the water fountain. A good start. Next: the Dutch premiere, coming up this sunday.

TOM HOLKENBORG'S NEW CD? 27/05/2010

The music for Johan Primero is done by Tom Holkenborg, also known as Junkie XL. Since Independent Films got so many download-requests for the tracks already, there's a big chance a CD of the soundtrack will be published. According to Tom it's the perfect music to drive with. Even if you don't have a 2CV.

FC Barcelona has been a great help and inspiring partner during the making of 'Johan Primero'. Today, the movie was shown to a few very important people and....believe it or not....Leo...yes Leo...you know who he is...and he and his girlfriend loved it!

FIRST SCREENING 17/05/2010

A special screening organised by the boss of the internet: Nalden. A great night with fantastic reactions. Director Johan Kramer: "Pffff, I am so pleased with all the feedback. The first showing is always very scary, but luckily everyone laughed and cried at the right times". After the screening, twitter about the movie exploded and Independent Films was bombarded with phonecalls about the release date: this is june 17....a little bit more patience......

If you follow Johan Primero on twitter, you knew that Johan has driven 50% more last week: he drove 100 times a day around the stadium and this resulted in a new title for Barca. Thank you Johan!

According to a journalist from La Vanguardia who saw 'Johan Primero' during a sneak preview it's the romantic movie of the year. It will be the 'perfect escape' for women when their men are watching the World Cup Football.

Right after the match Arsenal-FC Barcelona, the coach of the English team made a joke that seemed a bit serious: if it would be possible it Johan Primero could skip one day driving around the stadium on the day of the return game. As a reaction, Johan declared he will drive that day 60 times around the stadium instead of 50 times.

The soundtrack of Johan Primero is created by Tom Holkenborg, who has worked from his LA studios on the authentic sounds of the movie. A few of the tracks you can find under Johan’s car music. Apart from the tracks of Tom, there are some old songs in the movie of good old Dutch folk singer Willy Alberti. This is the favorite music of Johan’s mother. Who had ever thought Junkie XL and Willy would meet up?
