JOHAN'S STORY
Johan Puig is 42 years old and drives each day 50 times around Camp Nou, the stadium of FC Barcelona. The idea behind this: the more he drives around this football temple, the better the results of the club. When Senor Puig passes away in 2002, Johan decides to drive not once around Camp Nou, but 50 times a day.
During his daily route, Johan has lots of habits: drinking a few cortados with his friend Jorge, giving young Leo a few football tips, listen to the wise words of the old gentleman Senor Suarez, a little nap in the parking garage of Ruben Ramirez and buying some Chupa Chups from the candy store of Doris.
This obsessive driving ritual seems a way to remember his father, who passed away in 2002. This man, the busy owner of a Cigar Factory, bought a 2CV in 1973, got it painted in the colors of Barca and made a first drive around the stadium together with his son Johan. The same night Barca won, for the first time in 18 years,
0-5 against arch enemy Real Madrid.
This became the start of a weekly ritual: in fact, it was their only time together, since Johan’s father was always busy working. When Senor Puig passes away in 2002, Johan decides to drive not one round a week, but fifty rounds a day!
Nowadays, there are more than 80.000 rounds on the special counter in his car. Each day is the same for Johan. Till the day he meets Paquita. A young woman who cleans carwindows at the busy traffic light near the stadium. They get along very well and this forces Johan to make a choice. Choosing for the luck of his club
or for love….
